Who publishes this guide
This site is a community guide published by Gold Peach Realty, a real estate brokerage that works across North Georgia. We make it because most people who rent a storage unit around Dahlonega are in the middle of a move, a home sale, a semester change or a downsizing, and the listings they find online are built to sell them a unit, not to compare every facility. This guide lists every facility we could verify, with the features each one publishes, computed drive times, a size estimator and Georgia’s storage law in plain English.
We are not a storage company, Lumpkin County government, the City of Dahlonega, the University of North Georgia or any business we write about. Facilities set their own rates and rules, and every listing links to the facility so you can confirm anything that matters before you rent.
How we check facts
- Every feature, hour, rate and address links to the facility or agency that published it, with the date we last checked it.
- If a facility does not publish something, such as climate control, gate hours or unit sizes, we say “call to confirm” instead of guessing.
- Drive times in the facility matcher are computed routes on OpenStreetMap data at free-flow speed, with no traffic. They are labeled that way.
- We only print a price we saw on a facility’s own page, with the date we saw it. We do not publish invented prices, ratings, statistics or reviews. If we cannot source something, it is not on the page.
- Photographs are real and credited, with their licenses, on the photo and film credits page. The home page film is cut from those photographs; nothing in it is generated.
How we rank facilities
The facility matcher ranks facilities only by computed drive time from the start point you choose and by the features each facility publishes. No facility pays to be listed or to rank higher, we take no referral fees, and we do not rate or review facilities. When you call or click through to a facility, you deal with it directly.
How we use AI
AI tools help us draft; people check every fact before it publishes. Articles are bylined to the Storage Dahlonega Editorial Team, the people who check them, rather than to an invented author.
Advertising, sponsorship and listings
Gold Peach Realty’s own home listings appear on this guide, clearly labeled, and the brokerage’s contact details are on every page. We do not sell rankings, placements or reviews to storage facilities. Any future local sponsorship will be labeled as sponsored where it appears. To ask about it, use the contact form.
Corrections
